Yeah, there is a lot to work with. Its just when you look at celebrated cities like New Orleans, Savannah, Charleston, etc... - who would have thought that we might have been even greater. I think we could still be up there as long as right type of development and restoration keeps up - but its really depressing when you think of all that's lost. Everytime I walk pass the parking lot on the corner of St. Francis, and Conception, I can't help think of what it would be like if the Cawthorn Hotel were still there - or the McGill institute, that used to be at Government and Joachim. The list goes on and on. Barton will probably be on the list too, if things keep up.
