That's funny just lastnight I was reading an article about the project way back around 1990 or so that had proposed to turn it into low income housing. It's long over due a renovation job for University Towers. This is West Campus's oldest highrise built back in 1968.
I'm really hoping they do do some color changes in the crown for holidays. I look at the Frost Bank Tower as being a very high quality building and I'm not just being biased about it. If it had been built anywhere else I'd have the same opinion about it. I see it as Austin's New York style skyscraper the signature tower on the skyline. The firm that designed the lighting scheme which is based in New York City also designed the lighting scheme for Fort Worth's Pier 1 Place along with a bunch more.
Charlotte's Bank of America Corporate Center. They won an award for this building's lighting scheme.

Main lobby. Beautiful! The floors and woodwork on the wall are incredible.
The elevator lobby. Check out the mural on the wall of the crown of the building. I like that very much. It reminds me of the mural in the Empire State Building's main lobby.
