Steel work continues to take shape on the Rocky Mountain Power office building in Salt Lake City. This 10-story structure includes substantial structural steel framing and complex seismic connection details designed to support the building's performance requirements.
Here you can see welding activities at one of the building's steel connections, where crews are installing and completing connection components within the structural frame. CMT is on-site providing quality control and quality assurance services associated with the structural steel construction and connection installation activities.
Once complete, the new office building will encompass approximately 300,000 square feet of gross floor area and rise 169 feet above the surrounding site. Located within The Power District on Salt Lake City's west side, the development occupies approximately 68,000 square feet and will serve as a prominent addition to the area near downtown, the airport, and the Jordan River.
