What's the deal with "missing middle" housing?
The bragging about the "missing middle" is an urbanist trend I didn't expect to catch on. It started about 10 years ago and at some point took on a life of its own. Urbanists insist that this building type (plus bike lanes and everything else) automatically creates a virtuous social outcome but they're quite selective about which small multifamily areas they point to.
