SIFC - Sydney International Financial Center* - Goulburn St, Haymarket. 2x 532m twins

SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CENTER (SIFC)
Location: Goulburn St, Haymarket
Status: Concept / Vision
Architect: Yao Architects
The idea: Two 532m 120-story twin towers + X-brace skybridge, glass dome podium with public market, LED facade for Lunar New Year/Vivid

Program: 150,000 sqm | Twin Office Towers, Public Podium, Skybridge
The brief: Put a global finance hub in the heart of Chinatown without killing it.
Your move:
Twin 120-story towers connected by an X-brace sky-bridge. Glass dome podium with public market + direct link to Central. LED media facade for Lunar New Year, Vivid, events.
Design DNA: "One bridge in the sky. Between capital and culture."
Status: The one that represents Sydney on the map.

Located on Goulburn Street, at the threshold of Chinatown, Central Station, and UTS, SIFC anchors the new "City South". Two 120-story towers with a diagonal steel exoskeleton/braced frame rise from a crystalline public podium. They are connected 200m in the air by a structural X-brace is not decoration. It is the building’s spine. It stabilizes the towers against wind and becomes the most recognizable silhouette on the Sydney skyline. At night, the X glows as the strength, the skybridge is where people actually cross. It becomes one building not separated in two towers. a signal that Sydney is open for business 24/7that houses trading floors, exhibition space, and a public observation deck. The towers aim to create a southern anchor for Sydney's CBD that would establish a prominent landmark in the skyline potentially balancing out the Barangaroo area and promoting more even development.

Stepped spire assembly tapering all the way up to roof - Very Petronas-meets-futuristic. Instant skyline landmark.
Mega-diagonal bracing + Primary mega-columns - That’s the "racing mean" structure holding everything together.
Geodesic entrance podium at the base - That’s the "gacha soft" part. Organic, welcoming, different from the rigid towers so instead of a wall/carpark, people can walk in, see straight through it. Retail, lobby, public space. It breathes with the city.
