Sienna Senior Living is proposing to construct a new two-storey, 64-bed retirement residence addition and the renovation of existing three-storey building to accommodate 160 long-term care beds, providing a comprehensive residential care facility with a total of 224 beds, 92 vehicular parking, 10 bicycle, and 2 loading spaces with pedestrian connections, landscaping and outdoor amenity spaces. The proposal aims to modernize the existing facility, enhance accessibility, site functionality and improve integration with surrounding landscapes.
The subject properties are located on the north side of St. Joseph Boulevard, within the Greenbelt portion of Orléans.
The 1533 St. Joseph property parcel is approximately 1.19 hectares and is currently vacant land, having previously accommodated the Madonna Nursing Home, a two storey building built in 1958 and demolished in 2005. The 1541 St. Joseph property parcel is approximately 2.48 hectares in size and contains three-story, 160-bed long term care building located on the southern portion of the property and constructed in 2007. Part of the site is used for parking and access to the existing building on 1541 St-Joseph Boulevard.
