Visiting Portugal for two weeks to see two Canadian friends who've moved to the country. Mostly Lisbon with a weekend in Porto. Sharing these during some hangover downtime this evening so I'm not overwhelmed starting from scratch when I get home next week
Fled St. John's in the early hours of a blizzard. Felt like catching the last chopper out of Vietnam - most flights after mine were cancelled or delayed. Some people didn't get out for 2-3 days.
Day 1
Connection in Montreal, Quebec.
After an overnight flight, where I thought I had stayed awake, but the flight attendant called me "sleeping beauty" when collecting trash and the Portuguese around me all laughed. I must've been snoring or something - horrifying. Anyway, after all that: Sun! Warmth!
