It's still not clear how they come to these numbers. The footprint of this site (the 2 buildings) is a little over 21,000 sf. These numbers suggest a footprint of 30,000 sf.
But all will be revealed in the coming year when this project begins the ULURP process. Given the stated program, I'm expecting something of
at least 900 ft in height. SL Green seems intent to build a new ultra-luxury office tower similar to One Vanderbilt, so that means higher ceilings. The dedicated public "cultural" space at the top is very interesting. I wonder if it would be something similar to the "winter-garden" concept earlier imagined for Vanderbiilt. All will be revealed.
Anyway, I like this one better than the Brooks Brothers building...
