My guess is that it'll be a few years before they start widening the 400 north of Hwy 9. This summer they installed new mounts for a full width COMPASS cms sign, and the mounts don't appear to be designed for a ten lane build out. From the looks of things (the sign itself isn't there yet, just the footings), it looks like it was just built for 8 lanes.
I think they're going to turn their attention to the Bradford Bypass after the 400 widening. There is a clearing contract set to go in the spring from the 400 east to Yonge Street.
