People chase Eclipses on jets. Even flying at moderate altitude 15,000 feet you'll be above most clouds.
It would be possible (if you can take off at the precise time) to take off from Toronto and follow the moon's shadow across to New Brunswick or beyond.
The trick is to fly at the exact speed the moon's shadow moves across Earth's surface.
