This argument is essentially: anything spent on climate change mitigation is a pointless waste of money better spent on other priorities.
But - we've gotta do something to mitigate the problems we're causing with the climate. Yes, it's gonna hurt. But it's got to be done.
We look back at the past with horror at some of the things our ancestors did. What will our descendants think of us?
