With the provincial deficit soaring to $1.6 billion instead of the projected $360 billion, I'll make a prediction: they're going to slash the provincial highways budget. My guess is that we'll be lucky to see the McGillivray interchange built on the perimeter. Whenever money is tight, historically the highways budget has been the "go-to" item for cuts.
