Sign coming down on the Delta Community Credit Union building on Peachtree Place.

"Stratus Midtown," a 12 story parking deck with an 18 story office building on top, is proposed for this site.

Lmao I love the description.

As for the whistler, love the additional curb drainage from both the sidewalk and the street. Helps with flooding mitigation and is something we should push for throughout the city.

I have had nearly all of my assumptions about how things work completely turned upside down more than once. More natural light always helps, though.

I was hoping for something more interesting. It looks like many of the buildings constructed in midtown in the last few years. I was really excited about the previous proposal on this site.

If NCR is renting out half their office space into an already saturated commercial real estate market, it looks like they overbuilt. I have been saying this for a while now but I think a lot of these proposed office developments aren't going to happen in this environment.

It's getting hard to track all the stuff happening in West Midtown, but here's the latest info from a new planning permit for 685 11th st NW:
"The proposed development includes 340 student oriented multifamily units and 30,000 square feet of commercial uses, including restaurant and retail use. Parking will be provided in a parking structure incorporated into the building with access provided from 11th Street on the eastern property edge. There is an existing alley abutting the property to the west that is outside of the property boundary and the scope of this application. The abutting alley will be improved with pedestrian oriented improvements through a separate special administrative permit application coordinated with the adjacent property owner to the west."

^Have to wait for confirmation, but it looks like this went from "regular" apartments with a large parking deck, to furnished student apartments with very little parking. Sure it won't have as much of an impact on the skyline, but it's far better for the urban fabric of Peachtree street.
