Wet clay. Ew. I bet you they would prefer blasting bedrock.

As a side note... Have you ever wondered why Manhattan has all the tall buildings in the financial district and then in mid-town just south of Central Park?

The noise on this build was something else, this summer. I bought some noise cancelling headphones haha.

Gladly the worst noise is over with!

Looks like they are at the bottom of the excavation. I guess they will now need to sink piles for the foundation?

From today:

It's still well below-grade so it will be a while before there's much to show at street-level.

Not sure how common it is but there were crews working on-site through the weekend.

Dear lord, are John and Dave from the Westgate towers working here part time? For a relatively small building & footprint, this building is taking forever to go up.

Didn't realize it was at grade. Hopefully the pace picks-up.

Wow, that has moved quickly in the past 2 months.
By the looks of it it's at 7 out of 9.

What are the chances it tops out before end of year?
I think this one is going to blend in nicely when all is said and done.

Hope the building next door goes up soon after so we don't have years with a blank wall.

I was thinking about this the other day. Its odd that the lot next door was lost to a fire like what, 15 years ago, not incorporated into this building, and not redeveloped or turned into a pocket park. Zip, zilch, nada.

We've seen several proposals at that site since 2006. The latest proposal was approved March 2022.

Ouch! Good luck to selling that kind of unit for that price range for what it is offering.

Bit of a tease they finish off the top and leave the bottom!

You may notice the taco truck on my right. As much as I wanted to try .. I was in the process of walking off a meat/cheese pie from Ferrari Festival.

So there's a food truck! Crisis averted.

That looks really good!

Pretty happy with how this one and the Beechwood one have turned out.
