So getting prompts for phase 2, with floorplans and select pricing released. If one telegraphs that to mean the first tower is sold out, trusting that means we will see construction start this year.

With a Jan 2027 occupancy, I doubt it. More like mid-2023 construction start.

Any chance Lamb starts one tower before the other?

I remember CHCH saying that Lamb wanted to get moving on construction in 2022.

Hopefully at least demolition and site prep will happen this year.

I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong!

Projects I could see starting construction in the next 12 months - and this list seems to just keep getting larger:

- Television City
- 41 Wilson
- 71 Rebecca
- Radio Arts
- APEX
- Westgate
- Corktown Plaza

No way APEX starts before Platinum is done. My occupancy date for Platinum is in November so I don't expect APEX to start till early-2023.

Can't wait to see both 41 Wilson and 71 Rebecca really kick off this summer. Such a weird part of the downtown core.

Corktown Plaza - not sure what is going on with that one. I thought construction was supposed to start in the fall of 2021, but absolutely nothing yet. The tenants haven't even started to move out.

Why not? Coletara should be able to handle more than one project in the same city, especially if one is nearing completion.

What's going on with this one as well: https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...228215&page=12

Tall new buildings in the north-east will be both amazing and odd.

Metro City is stuck in limbo and has been for a while. It's Spallacci behind it - and we know how fast they move on the Royal Connaught.

My understanding is that Corktown Plaza is a rental project so it'll start once Slate lines up financing for it, more or less. They have extremely deep pockets so it should happen.

71 Rebecca will be a condo so I imagine Rosehaven will launch sales soon before starting construction, but they also already demolished the property and removed their rent-paying tenant so I imagine they want to move soon or they wouldn't have given up that passive income..

41 Wilson needs Emblem to start sales first, but given how quickly 1 Jarvis sold out I imagine it won't be an issue.

Exciting to see this finally go ahead!

Is this still a Lamb development? If his condos in Toronto are any indication, I pity the suckers that buy a sub 500sq ft unit. In 2022, wouldn't be surprised if they try to cram a few sub 400sq ft units as well.
Sometimes the layouts of the units of Lamb projects are pretty bad.

That being said, I should hold my tongue until it's finished and it will be great to have hundreds of more residents in downtown Hamilton.

Lamb's developments are pretty high quality though. He definitely doesn't cheap out. This and 41 Wilson will likely be the highest quality builds in Hamilton.

*Inside the nicest closet on earth*: "the finishings are immaculate, but you have to open the door to the hallway to really see them".
