Housing Built vs Jobs Created
Atlanta did better than I expected, or about as good as I expected. For every one unit of housing built in Metro Atlanta, we created 1.63 new jobs; 2008-2019.
With the news of Visa and Cisco, which is great news, I often wonder where those new employees will live. It reminds me of when Georgia Pacific
announced the renovation of their tower in Downtown which would result in 600 new/relocated jobs that pay, on average, $100,000. I wish the announcement of Cisco and Visa had details and the average salary of those new people, as that would help shed light on number of things (including housing costs).
