Obviously a sunset photoshopped behind the skyline based on the foreground shadows... I dislike that trend in modern "photography"

Thats not even modern photography. That is just a bad image and edit tbh. The fact that it has garnered any attention whatsoever is both surprising and sad.

Not to mention the obvious light source is coming from the east. How cool would it be to photo shop a sunrise and sunset sky simultaneously in a downtown pic.

I was looking at some new postcards this evening at HEB thinking maybe I might pick them up since I've collected postcards for almost 30 years, but I noticed they had the sunset with the sun's rays in a place northwest of the skyline - where it shouldn't be. And then they had one where it appeared to be a sunrise, but it just didn't look right. It did actually look like a sort of composite image of an evening and sunrise at the same time. I passed on them.

I didn't know post cards were a thing any more. I guess I haven't shopped for them.

I started collecting them when I was a kid. They were an easy get for aerial photos of the city. I hadn't bought any in a while until just a couple of years ago when they did a few with the Austonian and others. I still haven't come across any with The Independent yet.

Nice photo here of the bad dust. EDIT: I just noticed it's an older photo.

Really great pics! I like how there are two distinct sections of our skyline forming. That view from Mount Bonnell shows it well there.

Very cool. I'm still eager to see how the lighting looks on Block 185.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that. And man, I still wish they'd put some lights on Northshore. I think that building really is deserving of some good lighting. I actually like how dark the W is, though.

I agree on both your points. And I too like the Gotham look of the W.
