I'm assuming 23 floors isn't above the escarpment there.

LOL.....some of those resident comments are hilarious. NIMBY's are everywhere.
According to the one guy, the city should mandate enough parking for everyone to have 4 cars and a motorcycle? haha....Wow....

Kind of instructive to see the similarities between this and television city. There's a NIMBY playbook on extended loan from the library. Since the escarpment in Grimsby is 12 stories, they can't possibly build above that. Because, planning. Super important to protect the view from Smithville.

"Most people have two cars, I’ve got four, plus a motorcycle plus a boat,” Geddes said. “A lot of people are going to be moving in to that area. This is a going to be a substantial amount of people.”"

Poor entitled boo-boo.

The escarpment height is whatever you need it to be to play the NIMBY card, yet pretend you care about nature at the same time.

i like this proposal but not there. anything on that little plot of land just looks bizarre and out of place to me.. just such an odd choice to me.

It looks out of place now but it's a great location in the context of the secondary plan for the area which is being built up quickly. There will be almost 10,000 residents and a strong supporting cast of commercial space within a 1km radius of the QEW/ Casablanca over the next 20-ish years. The Grimsby GO station will be a short pedestrian bridge commute away from this site
