That is what I thought, but if it were for basketball or something wouldn't it be best to have a net over the top (so balls don't go on a nice freefall over the side of the building?).

Yeah, it's a kid's play area. There are pretty nice roof-top amenities with Rolston.

I feel a lot of their views are going to be blocked one 601 Beach Crescent is built.

Moreso by the towers that will be built on the site of the current bridge loops after those are decommissioned.

Fair point, but those are owned but the City, so you never know what they could become.
