I love the shots that make Chicago look like the Emerald City, springing up from the Nebraska prairie or something.

Thanks all! Can't wait 'till she's all glassed up. Going to make for some cool shots from Northerly

Awesome fog, too, Bonobo!

Wow Nick, those shots are amazing!

This thing is looking great, Chicago's one of the few cities globally where a 1,200 footer is just another building on the skyline

Would One Chicago be visible at all in any of those Northerly Island angles?

The visual termination of that segment of Lake Shore Drive at this building is every bit as good as my wildest dreams.

Exactly the sort of thing I was thinking! Such a unique view

I drew a straight line from where I was standing the NE corner of the OCS lot, and it appears that it will be visible right above One Prudential Plaza

Eyeballing it, I think it'll appear to top-off at the height of the second 'nub' on One Pridential's antenna.

Wow I've never seen Northerly Island so green. I should get out there more... I really have no excuse.

Thanks. I can sort of see it, but it's definitely in the blue range. I pulled the unedited version into Photoshop and took an eyedropper sample of the light band. Definitely in the blue family.

I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I would caution against reading too much into the 'exact' color of the glass based on any one photo (for any project). Small creative choices on white balance and hue/saturation (be it the photographer or the camera's software) can throw things off. Couple that with how any one photo displays on different monitors, and the weather on that day, and a digital depiction can vary quite a bit from reality.

I ran down there on Saturday morning. First time I’d ever been.

Are they planning to rebuild the rest of the loop by the way, or have they given up on that design given the flooding issue. Also would be much nicer to have a wooden plank path, or at least something nicer looking than the super wide concrete paving they’ve laid down (it looks cheap and won’t last).

I don't know if there are any plans to fix the crumbling path on the east edge. Really a bummer. I asked one of my Gang acquaintances last spring, and got the feeling it's a sore subject between them and the city. More had crumbled since the last time I was there last year so it's clear nothing has been resolved.

Fantastic updates as always!

I'll reserve any judgement until it's finished but I wish they would have gone with more shades of glass to make the transitions more smooth. The two floors of the lightest blue seem to stick out a bit much, as well as the four floors above that, and the four floors above that...if that makes sense.
