Really?

From my office on the south side of TD Tower (with darker glass than Canaccord Tower) - it gets stinkingly hot in the summer.
Even with the blinds closed.

Will there be fritt to mitigate some of the solar gain?

The glazing system will perform slightly better based off predictive models.

The removal of the tint is balanced by better performing glass and the fins.

When the space is leased. Given the current retail market CF will not be building anything here on spec.

Might perhaps be more accurate that CF hasn't come to terms with Apple yet? Although my guess is that Royal Centre's new owners are pursuing Apple for the Royal Bank box on Burrard and Georgia. I've seen plans to relocate Royal into the base of the office tower.

Damn, a vertical extension and the Royal Bank Pavilion could be a moderately sized department store space.

A smaller Harrod's? A Nieman Marcus? A (hate the word) mall? Major tenant & smaller ultra chic, or what?

Brookfield previously pursued Apple ~5 years ago and they had no interest in being at Royal Centre. Doubt that would've changed.

Surprise, surprise - lighting at the top of the Canaccord Tower.
(Moreso because Cadillac Fairview is removing a similar light feature from the Simpsons Tower in Toronto)

Pic by me tonight.

It has only appeared recently, despite the work having been performed for some time, so I think so yes.
Leftcoaster can confirm.
