The causeway acts as a massive animal crossing for them to pass underneath. Would work amazingly in BC but they're too cheap for it
China knows how to build highways in the mountains.
Looks like the lower Okanagan Valley or Thomson Valley, but with world class highways.

Doesn't look like the lower Okanagan or Thomson valleys that I've been to.
I lived there for a couple of years (Kelowna, Vernon, and Osoyoos), and it reminds me of the landscape around Penticton.

^ That's where I grew up (St. Bernard's). I drove that stretch of road between St. Bernard's and Bay L'Argent (4th picture) so many times I could probably do it with my eyes closed.
One of my favorite things about the whole northern part of the Burin Peninsula is the rolling hills, some of them being big enough to probably be considered small mountains. The further south you go the more the topography levels out; all the day down near Lamaline it's about as flat at the Prairies.
It was a beautiful afternoon here in Southern Alberta, so I went for a drive. Headed east out of Calgary by Hwys 22X/901 and Hwy 1 to Brooks. South from there on Hwy 36 to Taber. Back West on Crowsnest Highway 3 to Lethbridge and then Hwy 23 & Secondary Highway 519 to Hwy 2 and back into Calgary. Luckily, no serious construction on this run, but an annoying 80 km/h slowdown north of Claresholm for sealcoating. Its nice to get out of the city and enjoy some new and old scenery.
