I'll try to get a photo when I get home this afternoon, but Trammell Crow has started construction of Crestview Commons, another 4-story donut-style apartment complex in the Midtown neighborhood just south of 183/Lamar.

And just to think that that exact view will have two more buildings to add to the canyon just across the bridge in the very near future... It's also neat that Fairmont shows up here on the same grid even though 2nd Street doesn't continue past the Convention Center.

I think 2nd street does have an abandoned ROW between the CC and 35 that the Fairmont abuts.

In the further out future, the Google Fiber building (old children's museum) will eventually be redeveloped. Also, every time I walk by the Cedar Door at 2nd and Brazos, I wonder how much longer it will be before they have to move (yet again).

I've always thought it would be cool to see a Target at the foot of a highrise building in the down town, two floors with all glass windows so you could see in from the street.
