Are they going to put up the big screen this summer or will that be delayed until next spring? I could see the logic if they decided to wait... they can spare it an entire winter's worth of exposure to the elements.

They have been working on it every day. there are several bucket trucks and cranes under it as well as crates. I am sure it will be up in a few weeks. PCL and their subs want to get paid.

I'm assuming we won't. It's not a dome and most of the games seem to be day games so it would be sort of a waste.

LED light systems are designed to be programmable from what I've seen. It's just the way the systems come. So, it would be very likely to have the same possibilities.

I took in the Sneak Peak at the new stadium this morning and it is very impressive. We weren't allowed to see very much, just viewing the stadium from the east and north concourses. I am looking forward to being in the seats at the SaskTel Fall Classic on October 1st.

Thank you to everyone who has posted photos throughout construction, and especially to Migs for the most recent series of photos.

Last night's Rams/Huskies game went into overtime, so it could be a good match-up later in the season again.

The field lights will be controllable and will be tied into the game day control system (lights, sound, video, fireworks, etc). Look for NMS's field lights to do something very similar. 1 of the settings is "Papparazi" where the lights flash randomly. Seems tacky but it will all be in good fun and will add to the game day experience.

Northside

View of northside terrace, Sept. 3, 2016. Is this where the Plaza of Honour will be located?

At the top left, the International Trade Centre is also coming along nicely. Hopefully that gives the city a much needed boost to its convention and trade show industry.

Agribition 2017 I think. Not sure if it'd be ready for the 2017 Farm Progress Show though.

Agribition people have been told that it will be ready for 2016, but they have a lot of work to do. That being said the old arena and south brick barn will be used for this year. And beef cattle are hardy creatures and therefore just having a roof, a dirt floor, lights and electricity is all they need to display the herds.
Once Agribition is done, the arena and south barn along with old Mosaic stadium will be taken down by the same contractor. At least that is what was told to me by an Evraz place official.

Ah OK, that makes sense. The full project won't be done until 2017, but parts will be available for 2016.
