Mechanical is pretty much down now. All that is left is the balconies. They can finish those pretty quickly however, there is no rush to do them.

I don't know what you mean by the podium? It's pretty much enclosed with railings to boot.

All good, I guess as I don't have a dog in show.
Classic Calgary...

If that had been an Edmonton article, we would have had the class and dignity to at the very least mention or acknowledge that there was a bit of a height race.

[keep losing connection]

Yep. The podium is five floors. The first floor is tarped off. Suggests to me it hasn't been installed on purpose and it wouldn't take long to install either. Key here is to get the building systems up and running., the units completed and, get paid. Common areas like balconies can be done afterwards. Retail is something else.

Makes sense. No point in completing the balconies apart from aesthetics when there's money to be had in getting buyers into the building.

Regardless, this building will be U/C for a while still.

Latest from Benito at UT

It's a hole in the ground. It's years from taking the title. There's no point to bring it up. Same applies once Stantec is topped out and, at the same time, Calgary breaks ground on a new tallest. You cannot tell me it can't happen either.

If It was a Journal article... tone, research and acknowledgement would have ben much different, alas.

Yes, although it might end up being "Just Another One" by the time it breaks ground.

Yup, Yonge divides Bloor east and west. One Bloor East is across the street from One Bloor West.

From Koops65s rendering;

I think Ten York particulary stands out in this rendering. This tower is going to have a strong impact on the skyline from the water, especially before taller surrounding towers hopefully get built and eventually dwindle the tower from standing out.

^^^ From that vantage point, 10 York and the Harbour Plaza twins will appear to be the tallest buildings in the skyline, for quite some time, since all of the taller towers on the east won't be U/C for a long time, if ever...
