Jack Keaton's is moving to Dewdney Ave and Leo's is moving in to that location on Rochdale. It will be a nice addition to the North West

Leo's will do great there. What space is Keaton's moving into on Dewdney? Is it any good? I have never been.

2410 Dewdney. I believe it's the building that Don's Photo is in.

Great move

Rochdale a convenient location for NW residents but a PITA for the rest of Regina. Dewdney will make it accessible to everybody and should gain a lot of new patrons.

Yeah but all indication is that Keaton's wasn't doing very well... So we'll see.

I don't think I would join Fougie's excitement. Unless you count all the projects currently underway. There's aren't going to be nearly as many new projects in 2016. The 4 schools are underway. The bypass has started. The downtown towers are pretty much all done. The stadium is well underway, the treatment plant close to done.

I'm guessing Leopold's Tavern.

I haven't been to the one in the East, but from what I heard it's about as large as the one just outside of downtown. Could make the North one the largest of the 3?

I was driving by the old Jack Keaton's and they already have the signs down and Leopold's signs in the windows...It does have more windows than the other two locations, so I wonder how they will manage to put the amount of stuff on the walls there as in the other locations...

The east location is 36% bigger than downtown. The new location is 50% bigger again than the east.

RPC has a DU application on tap on Wednesday for another Timmies with drive through on the SW corner of Ross and Winnipeg. This is currently a used car lot, so it will be an improvement and provided a needed amenity to this light industrial area.

But then again, nothing did well in Leo's first location... it was a revolving door of restaurants. Then Leo's came along, and it's hopping basically every night right up to 2am closing.

I actually think the 2am closing 7 days a week accounts for a portion of Leopold's & Victoria's appeal & success (the food & drink isn't bad either)... people know it's open (including the kitchen).

I can think of several places in Regina that use language like "9am until closing" to describe their hours. "Closing" varies based on the crowd - so if I want to meet friends for a late pint on a weeknight, I'm not certain if the place will be open (I remember places like Tony Romas closing at 9:30pm one night, and midnight the next - completely based on the crowd. I stopped suggesting it as a place to meet, because half the time it was closed when we got there.

This certainly doesn't account for all of the appeal - but it probably helped build a loyal base of customers.
