^ I wish the building on the corner would get replaced, but a reno is a decent consolation prize. The optician that was there before had such an ugly storefront that practically anything would be an improvement.
As for the Halter building, I just wish that the women's health clinic which runs it would lease out the original CRUs instead of just leaving them vacant except for the one. It would be an easy way to liven up the block. The clinic could make a few bucks at the same time.
Small project, but I noticed that at Tache and Goulet the 60s era St Boniface Clinic is getting a reno. One nice touch is a small expansion that will get rid of the Tache setback and push the building right up to the sidewalk.
Ya, it say the sidewalk on James was to be done a few years ahead of the full upgrade. Kind of weird.
My guess is they're hoping (or know of something) something happening across the street or on the corner and want to wait before redoing it because it'll likely get ruined. But they had to redo that sidewalk it was barely even in existence still.
The new Access St Boniface on Goulet. Not a bad looking building except for the fully exposed surface parking which looks like crap. How does the city even allow that? Or is it even allowed?

Looks like a public private partnership of some kind. That is federal land. I wonder who the principals are. Anyways it is good stuff. I will be able to see it from my balcony
I noticed that the former optician at Graham and Kennedy is now getting an exterior reno as well, to go along with whatever they're doing inside. No word on what's going in there yet, but it bodes well for that intersection. Graham and Kennedy is starting to resemble a functional, vibrant downtown intersection again for the first time since maybe the early 90s.
By my count, the former CIBC/Shoppers on the SW corner is apparently fully leased, the building on the NE is renovated and mostly if not entirely leased, the SE is where MLLC will soon be expanding and transforming the ugly surface parking lot hopefully with an actual building, and now the NW corner is getting a makeover. It's still a puny and old little building, but at least it won't look like some dilapidated relic from the 60s.

what's the deal with this?...that company doesn't appear to exist anywhere...there is no information on the Forks web site about it....looks cool otherwise, bur I'm surprised there has been no information about it.
