The schedule conflicts will still be around with TFC. The grass will need a week to recover after each Argo home game so the Argos will get clusters of games in this odd weeks where TFC disappears to Portland and elsewhere. It won't be much different then now, and the Argos still would loose a week or two because of the CNE. They will play only Fridaybabs Saturday but that is what they play this year and have only averaged 15k a game.

The Argos dug thier own hole. Nobody forced them to foolishly only demand Friday and Saturday dates which forced them to back end all their dates with the arrogance that the Jays would not make the playoffs. Sundays would of been in the clear for them for many dates this year and Thursday as good day to play also. They only want to play those games on Fri and Sat so thier fans from the suburbs can come downtown.

As I've pointed out before, it's a Tuesday night game that is being moved.

And I don't know why you insist that the Argos will continue to get lousy dates at BMO... even if the Argos have to work around TFC's schedule, that still leaves massive stretches with few dates on the calendar.

For instance, this year TFC went a stretch where they played at home on June 27, July 18 and August 5. Not exactly a logistical mindbender.

Agreed, I think he thought he could make up what he lost over the years selling them as the league was on the rise. With the Lions, they have lost a ton of value over the last 2 years as well. I think he should have sold them to local ownership sooner

Yes how stupid of the Argos to try and get dates that their fans want....they should bow down to Rogers and say thanks for the Tuesday date you gave us.....oh wait you want that date back, well of course you are Rogers!

Yea, there's been a huge uproar over this that it's actually deafening. What a publicity nightmare for Rogers. The media and public are bashing them endlessly. *sound of crickets chirping*.

So it's OK for Rogers to screw customers over as long as the media uproar isn't too loud?

With an attitude like that, you have the makings of a fine Rogers employee

why would the argos "loose" a week or two because of the CNE?

TFC and the canMNT have always used BMO during the CNE.

So, L'Impact de Montréal just posted on FB that all regular seats are sold out for the next game and that some seats with a partially obstructed view are still available.

OK, now. Saputo was built in 2008. It's used only for soccer.

Why would a stadium built in 2008 solely for one sport have seats with obstructed views????

Ouate de phoque?

I think the term "obstructed views" is used loosely these days.

MTS Centre and IGF have "obstructed views" which are basically seats in the first couple of rows with a railing in your view that you can basically see around by moving your neck a slight bit. I'm guessing Saputo is the same way. It's not like the old days where you'd go to Ebbets Field or wherever and have a seat right behind a steel girder.

Edit: Ha, but then again maybe it could be... here's a photo of a seat from the somewhat new-ish MetLife Stadium in NJ, proving true obstructed views can still happen

Well, sure. Though I'd be willing to bet he's done just fine from a dollars and cents stand point - all those Grey Cups...

I cant believe people are questioning the viability of the Argos in BMO already. You Shouldn't underestimate what going from the worst CFL stadium experience to the best in the league will do for the team.
And yes I do think BMO will have the best atmosphere in the cfl bar none. It will be as loud as IGF and will be unmatched as the most intimate Venue in the league. Add to that the place has more bells and whistles than (as far as im aware of) every other stadium in the CFL. The Argos arent lacking a fan base. TV ratings and polls of public support vs TFC has proven that. They lack a paying fanbase. Stable invested ownership/ proper Stadium and the right marketing power will solve that. I think the Argos will be the riders of the east in no time.

And any comparisons of the home dates in BMO vs RC is just pessimistic speculation. "nothing will change" I mean come on.. nobody know that. were not even sure if they will play on the same surface yet. TFC and the Argos could play in the same weekend for all we know.
