This photo thread is a mix... a few of my photos to start, and then some incredible work from others on Flickr.
There's a lot of images showing huge historic pride celebrations in New York City and San Francisco, but Houston has a big pride festival and parade too. This year, was the first time the city held Pride in downtown. Add that to the fact that it was just one day after the Supreme Court's landmark decision for marriage equality, and the result was a record crowd-- over 700,000 people attended the parade in its new venue.
For starters, getting to Pride is always difficult, but at least this year we had the benefit of rail transit into downtown. Though I wasn't the only one that figured this out...
