The Donnelly Group is very successful so they must know what they're doing, but that's a terrible space for a restaurant. At least change the glass, if not something more drastic. Earls and Cactus Club might be despised chains, but their restaurants look nice inside and out and they add something positive to the city vibe. This place is awful.

lucky us ..... 3 locations downtown ....
If they don't improve, they'll close soon enough so I'm not too worried....

Love the suburban-drunken-stupor bait on the side of the building disguised as an ATM machine.

No, I mean an "A T M" machine... it has to be spelled twice because once isn't enough... so ghetto, yo bro!

Google Street View says that that ATM and cladding has been with the building before Boston Pizza moved in...

I'm surprised that the BP locations are in fact Donelly owned but it makes sense. As far as I understand is when you get a BP restaurant for the most part it is a license to print cash.

I really don't get the hate for BP in the stadium location...higher end spots haven't worked and we already have over a dozen Earl's/Cactus/Joeys type restaurants downtown...what do you guys want to go there?

Sure the signage screams 'suburbia', but I think it will do quite well in that location given all the people that come in for sports/concerts and want a relatively cheap family-friendly place.

I am just so thankful it is not another Donnelly Group Pub. They could make their pints $1 and I would still go somewhere else if I'm hungry...even trying to revamp their menu the food is awful; just... awful.

Yes, hopefully they can make a go of it and liven up the area.

I think you need that "chain name" in a location like this to bring in people as a string of restaurants have already been in this location and been unable to do so.

Not to mention the seemingly rotating door of restaurants across the street where "Back Forty" is now, or whatever it is called these days.

If people think that BP is "relatively cheap" they should really check out some of the fine dining pizza options in town. BP is charging 19 bucks for a small pizza these days!

You can definitely get cheaper pizza at other pizza places. My point was really just that for a full service restaurant, BP offers an alternative that is at worst, comparable to the Earls/Joeys/Cactus crowd on price but has a wider appeal.

There's not much else around there. Starbucks and a 7-11? You got Yaletown,Granville st. or Gastown to choose from after an event. People want to be in a high energy area where there's rows of bars and restaurants to choose from after the game. That area is dead.

The new Chambar restaurant is in an isolated spot, but its in a super nice space that's highly visible, unlike BP Stadium.

Oh that's what will be going up there. They will not do well, as Pacifico is an amazing pizzeria just next door. That's my go-to pizzeria.

I just walked by the BP and it has a ginormous TV screen with viewing angles from the entire restaurant. Seems like they know what they're doing.

Drove a couple from the Boston area up to Whistler last year and they were puzzled by Boston Pizza and I wasn't sure how to describe it to them except as mediocre and derivative.

My girlfriend and I take her kids to Science World once per year, and I have noticed the lack of family friendly restaurants in the area. So, while I don't much care for BP, at least it's another option (although, they *love* Chipotle, so we'd probably walk a few more blocks to that).

OV area, especially near Main Street station, needs a lot more retail structures to house more shops and restaurants. That area is really a dead zone for eating outlets, especially family style restaurants, unless you are addicted to Mc Donald's, but even that place at Main is somehow dangerous-looking, rundown and usually stinks.
