Great shots all around! I'm loving the Ottawa and Winnipeg content. We don't see enough of them in this thread. Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary all look fantastic as usual. Keep 'em coming! Cheers!

That is awesome. I wish Laval would turn out like that.

Looks like there's decent density in the foreground too.

I'm not sure. It looks more like it's taken from the Crescent Heights area.

Keep in mind, that is only one of Burnaby's four dense highrise cores. It is the largest and tallest for now, but Brentwood has a 183 meter tower UC and another 186 meter tower proposed.

Always like trying to figure out where a picture is taken from

From this google street view angle, I'd say it's from Rotary Park up behind that street view.

That is indeed Rotary Park. Specifically, right here.

The Bluffs are an amazing natural amenity for this city. Such a great view, especially with the Bow River and Sunnyside and Bridgeland in the foreground. After all 3 stages of RiverWalk are complete, I hope the city revitalizes/modernizes the paths along the bluffs. The parks along it have the capacity to be Calgary's Mount Royal, with virtually the exact same views and height that Mount Royal (Mtl) has.

Using google earth, the Bluffs elevations seem to top off at around 1095 meters and the downtown elevation is 1050 meters. So not the same as Mt-Royal which has an elevation of 230+ meters while downtown is at 40 meters. I agree that the views are gorgeous from there!

yeah the bluffs north of downtown aren't that tall, but being right up against downtown they have some awesome views.

Ottawa looking west over Rockcliffe Park

Ottawa looking west over Rockcliffe Park and through a little rain shower.

You can see Parliament right of centre and Rockcliffe Park is the trees at bottom. If you have money and influence that's where you live.

Loving those Calgary views. Does the city have a bad angle?

Seeing the different ones of Ottawa is neat too. One thing that strikes me is how wide the Ottawa River is. You can see on a map how portions of it are quite broad, but the angles of the photos shared lately have really illustrated it visually against the context of the city skyline.

Thought this deserved a repost to this thread, since hardly anything is ever heard or seen from the place...
