From this aerial pic, it seems like most of Montreal is Mission-level density which is my favourite Calgary neighbourhood. Love both these cities, I can't wait for some MTL exploring on my next visit

I have to say tho, where Montreal's skyline really underwhelms is when flying into the city by plane. It really does look deceptively flat and unremarkable. I'm not sure why I always get that perception whenever I go to Montreal.

I did say Montreal had some cool buildings (a good number of my favourites in Canada in fact) but the overall skyline effect is too diffuse. That's OK, it's got lots of other qualities that would still make it great even if it had no skyline at all.

Well not every skyline picture show everything... still nice. It's rare to have such a nice view of this part of the downtown (downtown east). This part is less developed than downtown west, but it has a nice carpet of mid-rise.

That's a very neat shot that showcase the CHUM complex and the mid-rise wall of René Lévesque, not much holes left to fill on the north side!

The CHUM will be huge once finished. The beige building will be torn down, and replaced by
a modern tower.
