A friend posted this on FB with the note "a la prochaine!" I don't know if she took it or not, but she was there:

She was clearly lodging at the Hilton, if she took that pic herself.

Ah, they've re-configured the bike lanes since the Google Streetview car last went through, and I didn't make it down Laurier on my last trip to Montreal, so I didn't recognize it.

Hopefully more buildings like this start to populate the area, which at the moment badly needs it...

In addition to the 2-22 illumination (see precedent post), three other buildings in Montreal's Quartier des spectacles are now illuminated as part of a "mise en lumière" program for the neighbourhood:

La Cinémathèque Québécoise

St-James United Cathedral

And Cabaret Underworld

Colourful streetscapes are the best. I like the lighting effect on the sidewalk in front of the Cabaret. Neat!

The Quebec Parliament is sweet tied for my favorite with the BC Legislature.

I thought this pic was pretty cool. Some fun floating down the Bow River through downtown Calgary.
