Police arrested an Indianapolis man after neighbors reported seeing him naked in front of his window—and they say it’s a chronic problem.
Neighbors called police after seeing Bernard Hunt, 63, standing in front of his window without any clothes on. Two officers arrived at Hunt’s apartment on the west side and asked him to get dressed. Hunt complied, according to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers then closed Hunt’s blinds and told him he should “not be standing in front of the door naked.” Police said Hunt was “heavily intoxicated” and “mumbling,” but said that he understood.
About 30 minutes later, someone flagged down the officers to let them know that Hunt was at it again—standing “in front of the glass window” and “possibly fondling himself.” Officers visually confirmed the information and again entered Hunt’s apartment.
Police told Hunt they were going to arrest him for indecent exposure. While officers waited for the police wagon to arrive, Hunt asked if he could watch TV, the report said. The television was showing a pornographic movie and the officer quickly changed the channel. According to the report, Hunt asked if the officer would switch it back. The officer turned the TV off.
Other witnesses told police Hunt often engages in similar behavior, the report said. Staff at Hunt’s apartment complex said Hunt “has a problem with standing nude in his window,” the police report said.
