Northwest Corner of SW Market Street & SW 11th Avenue
Pre-Application Conference for Type III Design Review for a new six-story multi-dwelling building. The 69,316 square foot building will contain 81 residential units, 121 bicycle parking spaces, and 17 below-grade vehicle parking spaces (extending under the sidewalk on SW Market Street). The below-grade parking will have ingress and egress on SW 11th Avenue, a Parking Access Restricted Street. An Adjustment will be required to locate the parking access on this street. Projecting bays on the second through sixth floors of the building will extend over the right-of-way, and will not meet the maximum allowed width dimensions of the oriel window standard.

Maybe, but the architect is at least experienced with mixed use and dense infill projects. Aaaaand... don't forget, this will be subject to design review!

oh no. that guy did the cambridge condos on westover, which is an architectural catastrophe.

btw, there was some discussion recently in another thread of the new 8-story building going up next to university pointe at psu. apparently he's the architect for that one as well; there are renderings on his site (under 'residential', top one on the left).

On a positive note, have any of you noticed that the PICA building would appear to finally be done, at least the front exterior? Looks really nice. So glad this building was saved and spruced up. Seems like a perfect fit for PICA.

What a prime retail space too. That area is so much healthier than just 5 years ago.

I am sure major construction/demolition has been put on hold until after the holiday shopping season....brick & mortar retail is haviing a hard time ....

And the city usually has a moratorium on construction within retail centers and corridors during the holiday season.

That looks so awesome, I always wanted to see this little building get renovated, it was such a waste sitting there all boarded up. I so happy to see it getting some new life with a great renovation job.

If only we could get that old gas station lot across the street developed. There had been plans for a tower there, but they seem to have evaporated with the Bush economic crash.

That lot is controlled by TMT development (PAW). My understanding is that they've put it up for sale.

City Center Parking acquired by Canada-based Impark
