^^ I thought about that for a while before, but they just seem like something Liebeskind would actually build

I wish tower 3 would get a redesign. While I am looking forward to seeing it rise(whenever that is)
it seems to rough to be at the site.

Tower 3 did get a redesign, the cross-bracing was removed, and it was shortened by about 100 feet.

I always thought that was a terrible idea to shorten it. At it's original height of 1,255 ft (to the tip of the spires), it somewhat resembled the South Tower in the skyline. Some may disagree, but this rendering sure makes it look like the Twins (to a degree).

While I do love the new site, the twins were great.
It could be the fact the the skyline has new taller buildings in the mix around the Trade Center than stood there before.......dont forget what's been built there since 9/11. GS, 7WTC, W, Beekman,Barclay, 4WTC

He was told his towers were boxes.
He built them anyway.
This building is for the next kid who was told no."

The whole is less than the sum of its parts. And that spire on WTC-1 is incredibly ugly and cheap-looking.

In case anybody really cares about my opinion in this resurrected from the dead thread.

Yeah, I still stand by my opinion more than a decade ago. This new WTC will never top the original.
