Yes, 1WTC is nearly 1,800 feet, but with the spire. I'm talking about a building that will tower above all of them. Something the size and shape (though not necessarily design) of the Shanghai Tower, under-construction. Yes, the ESB is the iconic building of Midtown. But there are at least five buildings, probably more, that will match and surpass its height throughout Midtown within the next five years or so. Don't me wrong, that's a good thing. I support all of these projects.
But in 2020, when they're all built, there will likely be a "plateau effect" around the 1,200-1,300 foot range. It'd be nice at that time to see something else, distinctly higher, skyrocket out of the center of Midtown. That's all I was saying.
