Best Barber(s)

In this day and age, I see so many hair stylists and quikie cuts. Barber's are a vanishing breed. mine just retired.
I went to one guy a couple years ago and all he used was the trimmer and weed whacker. No scissors no razor. That was a one and only trip there.
It is hard to find an old fashioned good razor cut kind of barber.
Where are the good barbershops in town. In your opinion. For a regular cut.

I go to a guy in the east end on Main Street East a block west of Sir Winston Churchill School on the north side. Louie @ "Louie's" is an old time barber. He does just haircuts and if you want a shave with a straight raiser. He is a little Italian guy barbering now for 56 years in Hamilton. I have been going there for almost 30 years and he is only my second barber. The old one retired at 80. When I started there he had a wood stove in the corner, no AC and no two stairs that matched. He now has matching chairs, gas heating and AC for the summer with a garden in the back. He usually upgrades the place with help from his loyal clients. My son got his first haircut there and when he comes back to Hamilton he will go there for a haircut.
The best part of the place, there is usually no women (no I am not sexist) unless they are bringing a son there for a haircut. Makes for interesting conversations. And he only charges $11.00 for a hair cut! He does not take appointments. He has no phone so it is first come first serve so you may have to wait.
Hours are Tuesday to Thursday 9 to 4 and Fridays 9 to 6. Closed Saturday, Sunday and Mondays.

"The Cavalier" @ 415 Whitney Ave just east of Main Street West (old HWY 8 up to Ancaster) is supposed to be a good barber in the west end.

There's a place in Jackson who's name escapes me (near the Timmies). They're great, class all the way, straight razor shaves. A+++, would recommend.

Maverick's I think. I got my hair cut there recently and was happy with it.

Westdale barber shop (996 King St W), hands down. Great guys, little wait (except on Fridays and Saturdays). Lots of skill with those scissors and a straight blade treatment for the neck at the end. Worth every penny.

I haven't gone to a barber in many years since I just shave my head, but when I did I went to some place on Parkdale near Main. Frank? I think. Older Italian guy. Pretty sure he's been there for a long time.

i know Frank, he's a legend. He used to cut my hair in my parents' kitchen. Give him a shot if you're in the east end.

Yes, that's the one.

My dad swears by Frank, but it's a bit out of the way for me.
