^ well it looks like the first bottom pane is a clearer glass than the above "frosty" colored glass, so is this the new glass going ( the clearer looking glass)?

While working on the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, N.Y., he incorporated a 1957 diesel locomotive, miniature golf course and world’s largest doll house into the building.

He has a master’s degree in hospital administration from Duke University and has written several books on children’s hospitals.

Quick question....where and how tall is this building going to be?

I think what you're seeing may have more to do with the fact that the upper corners you pointed to are reflecting the clear blue sky rather than the details of the nearby buildings like the rest of the curtainwall. Obviously, the distortion is much more apparent when it reflects the buildings instead of the clear sky.

I walked by MoMo today and paused to see if there was any replacement being done on the lower portion. I didn't see any.

The office I work at is surrounded by highrise construction so here are some pictures of some projects that haven't been mentioned in a while:

The building U/C in front is Burnham Pointe (30 stories), and the one in the background is 900 S Clark (24 stories). As you can tell, the windows haven't been cleaned on our office building in a few years. Burnham Pointe has been doing a pour every 6 calendar days.

This is the site work underway for 600 S Clark, an L-shaped 16-story highrise that will rise next to and over the adjacent Dwight Building, which is getting a major rehab, as you can see in the second photo. The building in background is Vetro.

And Library Tower.

That's 900 South Clark, not the Curve, and Vetro at Harrison/Wells, not Printers Corner.

So, this doesn't look anything like copper to me. Looks like terracotta rainscreen in the photo... or are my eyes deceiving me? I fear that this unique aspect of Parkview isn't going to be a reality. The cheaper handrails appear to agree with this. SolarWind, can you possibly confirm or deny?

I like the fact that there ARE townhomes, and I agree that developers and architects should be getting more creative with parking bases, however the current design of those townhomes are flat-out god-awful.......pure and simple, this was a design move intended soley to appease the tasteless prairie ave NIMBY scumbags...

They desperately need a re-design to fit better with the rest of the building, which I think is quite nice...

An unexpected errand brought me to the loop today. I found myself wandering north up Franklin, a way I haven't gone in a while.
These are the things that caught my eye.

155 N Wacker demolition

300 N Lasalle and Marriott

The Tides peaking through a gap down Wacker

Kingsbury Plaza

Silver Tower

600 N Fairbanks

757 Orleans - the first story columns are done

50 E Chestnut, from Franklin

10 E Delaware - not much to see yet

They've started painting the "limestone" on 50 E Chestnut. It looks better than most painted concrete, if that counts for anything.

The paint on the Claire didn't look as good.

The Claire is leaving me underwhelmed. These fence/window things aren't helping any.

600 N LSD - They've clad 2/3 of the floor slabs, but they're going to paint the rest??

Parkview West - I dont' know if it's red limestone or what, but these red 'bricks' are being installed. I like it. I think the red goes very well with the green glass.

Open windows

From the rooftop fountain & plaza area of Cityview condos, sunset light reflecting onto Avenue East

And from the same plaza, OMP seen between the Sheridan and 340 OTP.

Hey does anyone know what is going on next to Pizzaria Uno in that small lot next to it and the Tokyo Hotel? They are drilling, and there is lots of activity over there. If this has been discussed, I apologize, I have been out a bit.
