Its 46 occupied, plus 2 in the mechanical penthouse. I belive the height now is 656'-7", although I have to double check on that figure.

656' would be nice given that I've been worried it was working its way down closer to 610'-620'..............wow - I really am a skyscraper geek - I just admitted to being "worried" that a planned skyscraper might be 610' instead of 650'.....at least I have my priorities straight!!

^ Speaking of 155, I noticed today that demolition seems to be moving very fast on the buildings that make-up the eastern half of the building's footprint, and preparations for demo of the current 155 itself are underway...

Yea...stuff was coming out from a whole in the wall about 4 flights up today. My guess is they are going to go ahead and build this building and worry about the plaza later?

That's my impression as well - they're not going to let the plaza delay them (which I think is great because I would rather see those 2 small buildings stay put anyway) - this project is a sure thing as far as I can tell - Skadden Arps is moving in on or around July 1, 2009...

Yeah, you can definitely tell when more expensive, higher quality glass is being used. It's more than just the lack of wavyness, it just has a look to it, like when you see a Coke bottle and you know its thick and heavy and has a great deal of pride behind it.

There is a glass firm that has done quite a bit of work in NY and around the world. I believe they are called Sotawall. I've seen this glass and it is gorgeous. The curtain walls look like a sheet of ice, not a sheet blowing in the wind.

Thanks i_am_hydrogen. Yes, the camera seems to be performing well. I'm starting to learn how to use Photoshop Elements, hence some more interesting pictures lately. The digital camera catches a lot of detail; it's only a matter of bringing it out.

I didn't make it up to the Clare on Thursday. I'll try to stop by within the next week or two. I'm curious about its progress too.

Right on the money. The curtainwall is being made somewhere in China and shipped over.

Another MoMo trivia fact: The steel truss was so mammoth that no manufacturer in the States could take it. In fact, allegedly, only one mill in the world was capable of making it. So, the truss came all the way from Luxembourg.

(Hope I didn't botch any facts here - recounting from memory - I'm nearly sure this is all accurate.)

-I recall someone (a foreman?) actually posted a photo of that MoMo truss sitting in a shop. I can dig it up (the photo, not the post).

From the pile test it seems 235 VB is technically not u/c. Someone has to point that out...

About those time-lapse south loop photos... the first one is end of May 2004, second end of May 2005, the third I forget, and the fourth is end of May 2006. We'll be bringing out the next installment in due time... redoing the crop on all of them as OMP pushes up beyond the frame.
