That could equate to 4 or 5 other buildings of similar size.....
It seems like Denver hit some sort of critical mass or city improvement about 3 or 4 years ago or somthing. Now you can almost set your calendar to expect a major construction announcement every month. If so much goes wrong that only 1/3 of these buildings go up the skyline will STILL be dramatically different...
If they all get built then pretty soon there won't be any surface lots left for trophy HQ towers
This project will definately infuse a great deal of energy into that part of downtown. Having an urban village with more residential towers would be awesome.
Great great tower. Awesome. However, I am having a problem with figuring out which streets are which on the rendering. Can anyone help me out with that?
That location will make it really change that area of the skyline from a distance, and it will look really impressive as you drive down 20th Ave towards downtown!

The base, particularly, is quite good. The fenestration could use a little bit of work in a number of places and the transition from the shaft to the curved roof needs to be a little bit more substantial (brackets would do to trick, I think). I’m actually a tad conflicted about the curved roof. I think this building specifically would look better with a flat roof, but Denver is in such need of something else that it seems worth it.
bcp, I'm not seeing where the "multi-billion" term came from. But if they're talking about 1,000 housing units, even a single billion would mean a development cost of $1,000,000 per unit. Or was the term referring to a larger scope?
I like this building architecturally, sort of. The big rendering looks better than the smaller one. There might be too many things going on.
It's surprising that they have about over 1.5 parking spaces per unit. This seems excessive. How does that relate to the City's code requirements? If the City requires a lot of spaces, that's certainly part of the reason why Downtown Denver doesn't have more $220,000 units going up. Or is the developer simply choosing to build more spaces than required, and probably overestimating demand?
The units must be very large on average, given the size of the building, even accounting for the above-grade garage.
