Without a doubt, and I can't begin to say how fortunate I feel I got to live there for three months, blend in as a local instead of being another dreaded tourist.
While my time there was marred by injuries and illness, I did get one weekend getaway to the nearby beach town of Sitges. It came highly recommended, in no small part because it hasn't been completely Anglicized like other stretches of the Spanish coast. I also can't recommend Sitges highly enough to anyone visiting Catalonia.
