The field at RHS isn't even level, given the strength of their football program and what it means to the community there they certainly deserve to catch up with the rest of the GMA when it comes to a field. Hopefully they can add some additional seating capacity at the same time.

Well, at least town council is not rejecting this proposal out of hand. RHS is the only high school in the metro area without an artificial turf field. If this were to transpire, this would give greater Moncton a total of seven artifical turf football fields.

I must have missed it but what happened to the third building that was suppose to be built by Icon at the corner of Whitepine and Pine Glenn?

Speculation is that the crane is being moved to the 30 story Icon building on Main St.

It's still in their plans, but it looks like they're going to move on to another project first. There's been a substantial amount of new units created in Riverview recently, with a lot more under construction. They'll complete the 3rd building later, once the market absorbs the available inventory.

Now that ICON is finally finished construction in Riverview, they'll be on to their next project. It looks like it'll be Infinity, and hopefully it'll be the full 30 floors.

They have now got the roof on the first phase of 398 Pine Glen road and now there is stakes in the ground for the 2nd phase.

It's amazing how many units have been built in the Findlay Park area over the last few years. What never ceases to amaze me is that they continue to quickly fill up with new tenants.

There's still a lot of vacant land there, so this part of town will continue to grow with residential and commercial developments.

Does anyone know if No Frills plans to build something like their plans for Emmerson Park here? I recall hearing rumours about it in the spring, but I haven't heard anything since.

Loblaws hasn't made any official announcement, it was just speculation. They are expanding the No Frills brand, so you never know. If their research shows that Riverview would be a good market, we could see one in the future. A potential location would be an interesting topic to discuss!

The details are scheduled to be released by 4:00 PM on Sept 3rd. A terms and conditions application would refer to an existing project. So it's likely they're looking for an alteration to the Pine Ridge development. (3rd building)

I don'y know what to think about this. The Caledonia detachment of the RCMP is moving to Salisbury close to the Big Stop at the TCH exit. Construction of the new building is well underway.

The current building does sit on a large lot which could accommodate a hotel, but, the location is not obvious for siting a hotel. Ideally I would think a hotel should be established on Hillsborough Road on the way down to the Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park.

Although the current RCMP building is adjacent to Findlay Park, there really isn't anything there which really constitutes a "destination."

Thoughts anyone???

The developer of 55 queen owns this land. I feel Riverview is in need for a walkable uptown/downtown and I feel all the development in Riverview right now is in the Findlay park area. Although I don’t feel that’s there’s any reason a person would pick a Hotel in Riverview over downtown Moncton.

Spataro holdings owns the RCMP station, and they were one of the developers involved with 55 Queen. I have noticed that their residential apartment buildings in Riverview have been re-branded as Rodgers Apartment Rentals. I don't know if they sold, or are just under Rodgers management.

As for a Hotel, it doesn't seem like an obvious location. It's close to Gunningsville Blvd. which would easily get you to Hillsborough Rd., then to the Rocks & Fundy as well as downtown Moncton.. There's also Moncton Golf Club but still, who picks Riverview N.B. as a vacation destination?

I wonder if some iteration of 55 Queen on a smaller scale could work? A small boutique style hotel on one floor of a larger building.

Something more creative than a stand alone hotel might stand a chance here.
