Has anyone heard what is being done with the old Great Canadian Bagel building in Dieppe??

The missus, who works nearby, said she's hearing rumours that they are tearing it down to build another apartment building on that spot.

I can't see that in that spot, but who knows!

Westcliffe has done mixed use renos with some of their malls in Quebec, so you never know. This lot is owned by them as well.

They are currently towing cars from that empty lot if someone parks there.

Like you say...who knows.

This mixed use building is now on it's fourth (and I believe) final floor.

Renders are still unavailable, but, it is definitely a mixed use building with ground floor commercial of some kind.

I took a drive yesterday around Elsliger St/Rue des Eleves off of Dieppe Blvd, around Ecole le Marais/Ecole Anna Malenfant.

Holy friggin crap!!!. Talk about an instant neighbourhood, and a high density one too, with multiple row houses and small apartment buildings (especially at the far end). I can't believe the change in the last few years since the last time I drove through there.

Some people say that Dieppe is knocking on a population of 40,000. I'm beginning to believe it! With Moncton and Riverview, the contiguous built up urban area (POPCTR) of greater Moncton is about 165,000 (CMA population 200,000).
