Tsawwassen Mills celebrating it's 10th anniversary this year.. I guess they're making a go of it despite the initial doom and gloom here.

Muji location should be open soon... they're (Muji) promoting it on their socials.

I don’t think the doom and gloom was so much about on it succeeding or not but rather on just what a pos development it is

This year will mark a decade since two new shopping centres opened at the Tsawwassen First Nation.

The huge regional Tsawwassen Mills celebrated its grand opening in October 2016, while the adjacent Tsawwassen Commons outdoor mall started opening in phases around the same time.

In 2022, the 1.2 million-square-foot Mills was sold by Ivanhoe Cambridge to Central Walk, chaired by Weihong Liu.

Changes have since been made or are in the planning stages to add new culture, entertainment and food at the Mills, which is fully built out with leasable space of approximately 1.2 million-square-feet.

The adjacent Commons has approximately 450,000 square feet of leasable space, with potential for approximately another 100,000-square-feet under the existing density cap.

New uses have been added more recently, with construction to be completed this spring on a new recreation facility, called the Nest, in one of the Mills parking areas, providing volleyball and pickleball courts.

Last December, the provincial health ministry announced the opening of a new South Delta After Hours Urgent and Primary Care Centre in what had been a vacant space at the Tsawwassen Commons.

Designer Depot has taken over the Off 5th Saks space, the old Designer Depot space is hoarded up. Lululemon is moving close to the food court in a bigger space, there was a long lineup to get inside their store.

The new food place is all open to see it but it doesn't open until May 30/31.

Be glad that it's not awash in neon and colour-changing LED lighting.

Uniqlo announced that they will open 5 new stores in Canada. Tsawwassen Mills is one of the five.

Wow Muji and now Uniqlo. I would assume they're opening in the old Designer Depot space. It's fairly large so we might finally get a spacious location (looking at you Richmond! ).
