Did you happen to keep your hellebore's plant tag which would identify your particular hellebore? When they bloom is not necessarily determined by climate or weather.
The overall temperature trend here in Halifax is a bit below normal but we've had a few above normal days too. It's been great for getting out in the garden and spending too much time and money at the greenhouses. The wind, OMG The WIND over the past few days has been relentless. It finally gave up about three hours ago. We had a good rainfall today. Tomorrow is forecast to be 15 and sunny and no strong wind.
Mild and raining. It rolled in yesterday in the late afternoon. Chilly enough to be miserable outside, but indoors with the windows open it's fine and soothing.

QMJHL finals begin tonight at the Avenir Centre. Chicoutimi is in town, Wildcats looking for their second straight league championship and a trip to the Memorial Cup.

Some good news for us Eastern Canada folks: long term models show a decent warm up after the Victoria day weekend. Not a heat wave by any means, but above average for at least a week - which for Toronto would translate to temps around 20-24.

Things are greening up nicely however and the neighbour cut his grass for the first time today. The trees are showing some visible green, but, the leaves are far from being fully fledged.
Rain tonight and tomorrow. It has been quite damp the last two weeks.
Wildcats won game one of the QMJHL championship against Chicoutimi last night by a score of 5-2. It was closer than the score suggested however. We had two empty netters at the end of the game. Game two is tonight (I am a seasons ticket holder).
I went for a road trip to Saguenay today and there is still snow in the woods and ice on lakes along Route 175!! It’s almost freaking mid-may! That’s unacceptable at this point

We had a pretty strong thunderstorm this afternoon, a few places got hail. Before and after the storm it was sunny and 18, low of 9.3 this morning. It will be cool again this week, starting tomorrow

18C and sunny. We at least hit our average. Gusty wind and it actually cooled down fast in the evening. It was down to 13C even before the sun went down at 7PM.
