They installed a 20T tuned mass damper on Level 41

Quote:
We recently had Gradient Wind Engineering at Richards and Drake to hoist a 20T Tuned Mass Damper up to Level 41.

Because of the tower's long, slender shape, it catches wind like a sail. Without intervention, that sway could be disorienting for residents and potentially make them feel seasick. This damper is precision-tuned to the structure's resonant frequency, acting as a kinetic shock absorber to cancel out the motion.

This sounds like an expensive build for social housing. These are ridiculous floorplates

What's being built with the red crane across the street from the park?

1210 Seymour Street

Hopefully the final design won't look so drab.

112 units of social housing to be built on Davie Street near Yaletown SkyTrain

Interesting it has a damper. Do any other towers in Vancouver have one?
