Its too bad that detail (rounded top) on Brookfield's crown is so seldom seen. Its pretty cool.

Agreed. Assuming the Stampede Station towers get built with the observation decks as proposed maybe we'll get more shots of Brookfield's crown from up top?

Yeah I'm a little surprised they're actually being built. They looked unique (and expensive) enough that I assumed the project would either not move forward or would be value-engineered into something barely recognizable.

The only downside is that its public realm will not be very accessible to pedestrians.

The circular low-rise building will house retail units.

I don't know. I don't own a car and I rarely drive. I've no idea how the parking works at mont-royal.

Walk up the hill if you're physically capable of walking. It's a pleasant little hike through the trees.

I recall parking near the observation point on Mont Royale once, but it was decades ago, so things may have changed. I would not at all be surprised if the parking was metered.

There's a parking lot very close to the viewpoint at the top of the "mountain." As Nouvelleecosse said though the walk up the mountain is pretty fun - would definitely recommend any month of the year.

When I went there in 2023, I parked at Terrain 117 (what it says on google maps) between the lookout and Beaver Lake. Don't know what it's like now as that was 2 and a half years ago.

And to show the growth over the past 7 years, I took this late July 2017. The Financial Core is all but hidden from the Wards Island Ferry view. Though it did expand closer to the lake with CIBC and a few other South Core towers.
