Do we know much about what BMO is doing for concessions/bathrooms considering this significant jump in capacity? I remember it being a nightmare in Ottawa during the Grey Cup a few years back. Also, people spending $$$$ on tickets don't really expect to use portapotties. Just curious.

I think they are still trying to decide what to do with McMahon long term. They could completely gut it and build a more modern stadium on the bones, but it's almost better to just start from scratch. The question is who pays for it, not sure there's an extra half billion kicking around.

Lots of great pictures of Scotia Place construction on SRC for those interested. https://calgary.skyrisecities.com/fo...29262/page-277

Marlaina will find it in time for the next election. Healthcare, education and budget be damned!

Not a studium or arena but rather an amphitheater : Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières.

Good, it's needed, hopefully a 25-30k dome. If whoever Marlaina is can get it done, it will be good for all of Canada

Marlaina is Danielle Smith's first name. The poster does not like her and mocks her with the use of her first name.

For a wealthy city, Calgary's major sports facilities are a joke. When Regina and Winnipeg have better stadiums than Calgary, that speaks volumes. McMahon needs to be replaced; much like the Saddledome.

I think there has to be a viable plan before the province announces any funding.

Her new massive 9.4 billion deficit and 20% provincial property tax increase for Calgarians might also hinder her.

Nice steep seating, sightlines should be good.

With the war against Iran, oil prices are going to jump and we will likely have a surplus now. The property tax issue is some serious BS though, they do this to make it look like municipalities are making the increase.

If one wishes to mock Danielle Smith, one should really refer to her as bus boobs.

Dumb question, if Ontario does build the convention centre elsewhere what happens to the old one, because I had thought Rogers buys the land with Oxford Properties, then did redevelop the area and do a similar project as the The Battery Atlanta
