On another note, WS loaded a sizeable S26 update that includes a few route increases:

MSP - Increased from 4x weekly to daily
LIR - Increased from 1x to 2x weekly
YSB - Increased from 2x to 3x weekly, resumes May 14 instead of June 7
YQB - Increased from 4x to 5x weekly, resumes April 28 instead of May 19
YFC - Increased from 3x to 4x weekly
YDF - Increased from 3x to 4x weekly
YQG - Increased from 4x to 5x weekly, resumes May 21 instead of June 28

YXC - Late evening dep has been moved to a AM departure

Most of the frequency increases are for late June-early September.

AC domestic transcontinental schedule next summer showing 18 daily flights on a very mixed bag of equipment including 1 daily widebody

YYZ 12 (6 321s / 4 7M8s / 1 320 / 1 223)
YUL 5 (1 333 / 1 32Q / 1 321 / 1 320 / 1 223)
YOW 1 (321)

The 333 to/from YUL will be paired with LHR

And EWR still showing a daily 7M8 for Transborder

Of course this can all change but that’s as of now

More WS changes:

YQY - Bookings re-opened with a reduced season.
RDU - Bookings limited to just full fare W / Y hinting at it being dropped

AA also reduced back LGA too. Resuming June 20, instead of late May.

KLM staff mentioned a second flight is planned for this summer, 3x weekly bringing the frequency to 10x weekly. This could be why it got downguaged from the 789/772 mix to a 333.

However the other flight is not currently loaded or bookable.

I’d rather have one daily 789. The 333 is garbage.

333 isn't a downguage. It might be a quality drop but it offers more seats than either the 772 or the 789.

If they switched to a 333 and added 3 more flights PW that is a significant increase in capacity.

KLM was mainly a 787-10 this past summer (at least 5-6 of the weekly flights). The remainder was a mix of 789/772 and the odd 77W

The A330 certainly making a comeback next summer at YYC (AC’s 2 x daily and Discover along with Condor)

YYC has also posted their pax figures for Oct and Nov

Mixed results like most airports with a significant hit to Transborder in November

There was also a pretty big increase in international for November too. Should finish the year around 19.5 million.

It’s a downgauge in capacity and a downgrade in service. The 787-10s have about 50 more seats and their J class are pods. The 333s still have the old 2-2-2 configuration.

KLM’s A330s are all being phased out anyway so highly doubt they would be upgraded to pods

The 333s are on their way out of the fleet and will not be refurbished, as was announced YEARS ago. So yes, they are garbage if you fly J.

No pods on Discover or Edelweiss either. When AC “transferred” FRA to Discover, pods were lost. Condor to FRA and AC to LHR still have pods at least.

And of course WS but they have one of the smallest J cabins in the sky.

Too bad the timing is just a bit too late for the Sao Paolo Grand Prix, which is Nov 6-8. Many airlines time their flights to GRU and GIG to do heavy maintenance in the layover, but this doesn't seem to be the case here. I'm sure the cargo opportunties from Japan and Korea to Brazil are lucrative.

The new YYC-GRU service appears to whack one of the Hawaii services back to 737max. The timing looks identical to either HNL or OGG.

Neither of the Hawaii routes currently show a 787. Not even PVR or SJD which also have 787 service this winter show it either. Only CUN as of today.

They could cut back CUN to a single daily and keep ICN year-round too.

I think BOG/MDE would've done better. But GRU is a big market. Will it work out though? Someone needs to keep an eye on the forward bookings

Based on the filed schedules in the OAG, WS appears to be published at least part of its summer schedule.

Lots of decreases in Transborder but it seems BOS is going 10x weekly. YUL appears up to 3x daily. Can fully review once it hits the booking system later today.
